Professional Outreach
The Gamma Delta Chapter of Kappa Psi focuses its outreach on the topics of nutrition and blood pressure checks. Brothers update the materials on these topics and educate ONU and the community about the causes, signs and symptoms, treatments, and proper use of medication.We present these topics at health fairs and other community events in hopes of educating people on how to prevent or properly treat these disease states and ultimately improve patients’ health outcomes. Kappa Psi has also presented information on -smoking cessation, asthma and COPD,and poison prevention. In addition to these topics, we also present information on different disease states at Mac tables during the dining hall lunch hours. Brothers create poster boards and
handouts in order to share health information with fellow students. The Gamma Delta Brothers of Kappa Psi have also participated in the AZUCAR health fair in Columbus, and in this past year participated in a mass casualty exercise in Columbus.The Chapter looks forward to incorporating our outreach into our philanthropic events and striving to reach even more patients.

The human body, the environment, and our choices are the focuses of Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity’s outreach projects. Kappa Psi attends health fairs to educate the community about how food affects the body and what high blood pressure can do for a person. Kappa Psi also has given presentations on our outreach to various centers of the community. We look to spread the word about how serious these disease states are. Educating the community about these disease states gives Kappa Psi an opportunity to reach out and hopefully make a difference in the lives of the people we talk to and educate.
